Research Notes 9 & 10 now available

The PADEMIA Research Notes Series keeps on growing as two new additions have become available.

In Research Note 9, Agnieszka Grzelak looks at the Polish Parliament and argues that  the parliamentary democracy in Poland is under threat – while the rules of the procedure are still applied, in practice the rights of the opposition are being more and more limited.

In Research Note 10, Tapio Raunio  argues that members of parliament nowadays have stronger incentives to become involved in foreign policy. Empirical evidence from Finland offers good cause for optimism, both regarding overall parliamentary scrutiny of foreign affairs and of the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) in particular.
